I offer classes focused on racism/antiracism that include examining classism, sexism, heterosexism and other forms of oppression.
I work with white groups on white privilege/racism and with multiracial groups I co-facilitate with a friend of color on racism and racial justice.
1. For white groups:
A) Focusing on anti-racism history, awareness and activism.
For example:
How does racism work?
What are institutional and structural racism?
What does it mean to be anti-racist?
How is classism involved? Sexism? Etc.?
What are our relationships (or lack thereof) with people of color?
What can I personally do as a white person?
B) Focusing on white privilege.
For example:
What is white privilege?
How does white privilege work on all levels: personal, institutional and structural (societal)?
How do I relate to my white privilege?
What kinds of changes do I need to make?

2. For multi-racial groups, led by a multi-racial team:
Working at times as a whole group and other times in racial groups during each session.
For example:
What is the racial diversity in my family, friendships, co-workers, religious institution, clubs, schools, neighborhood?
Dealing with white fears and people of color's anger. What are the history and present conditions underlying emotions related to race?
The history of whites, blacks, Native peoples, Latinos, mixed race people and others working together.
Our history of being legislated and/or violently forced apart.
How can we work together more effectively?
Things we want the other group(s) to know.
How do we together dismantle the institutional racism in our lives?
What do we do next?
